HOW CAN I SERVE?

There are many opportunities for people to volunteer and become involved with Keepin' It Real Ministries!

  • Clothing Distribution - Clothing is distributed Monday and Friday mornings, 10 am until approximately 11:15 at U-Haul Moving and Storage, 1037 Elmwood Avenue. We need men and women to assist with this task.

  • Sorting Clothes - Volunteers are needed on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 10 am to sort clothing and restock shelves at U-Haul Moving and Storage.

  • Sponsor Clothing Drives - Volunteers are needed to periodically sponsor clothing drives for specific categories, such as women's new bras and underwear, men's underwear, socks, winter coats, blankets, men's pants and belts (especially small waist sizes), backpacks, etc.

  • Bagging Meals - Volunteers are needed to help bag meals for the Thursday meal at U-Haul Moving and Storage at 2:30pm on Thursdays. Volunteers are also needed to make 100 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or 125 meat and cheese sandwiches (at home} to go into the meal bags.

  • Anniversary Celebration, Thanksgiving Bash, and Christmas Meal - Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve food, load backpacks, and assist for Keepin' It Real's main events

  • Prayer Team - Volunteer to be a member of our prayer team on Monday and Friday mornings at 10am at Uhaul Moving and Storage.

  • Women's Ministry - A volunteer or two are needed to head up the women's ministry, to sort and organize clothes, to keep up with inventory and needs, and to develop procedures for streamlining distribution days.

  • Food Baskets - Volunteers to help assemble boxes of food for those in need. This usually occurs on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 10am at Uhaul Moving and Storage.

  • Occasional Work Days - Volunteers can come out periodically to prepare for events, or to clean and organize storage units
